A musical tribute to Morocco and its unity, to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to every Moroccan who holds their homeland close to their heart. Written and composed by Youssef Fahmi Idrissi, the song was released on 2 October 2026, to celebrate Unity Day on 31 October.
I’m sharing the lyrics so everyone can learn the song, and the karaoke version so families, friends and our little champions can sing together, letting all our voices rise as one on Unity Day.

31 October 2026 marks the first celebration of Aïd Al Wahda, Unity Day, as a national holiday. To mark the occasion, Youssef Fahmi Idrissi wrote and composed a song honoring Morocco, its people, its King, and the unity that brings us together.
Through its lyrics, the song reflects on our history, our shared memory, those who came before us, and the legacy we will pass on to future generations.
In the chorus, he sings: “واحد وتلاتين أكتوبر، تاريخ فالقلوب منوّر” — “31 October, a date that lights up our hearts.” Including the date was a deliberate choice: a way to help everyone, especially younger generations, remember it through music.
Having spent more than twenty years living abroad, Youssef has a particular appreciation for the bond Moroccans share with their homeland, wherever they may be. Through this song, he wanted to express that sense of belonging and remind us of what we have in common.
If the song can bring us together, even for a few minutes, around this shared memory and pass its message on to future generations, it will have fulfilled its purpose.
On the occasion of Aïd Al Wahda, we pray for the souls of the late His Majesty King Mohammed V and the late His Majesty King Hassan II, in recognition of their dedication to the service of the Nation.
We pay a tribute of respect and loyalty to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and to all members of the noble royal family, for their commitment to the service of our country and its people, as well as to the officials who oversee the affairs of the State.
We also salute the heroes of the 1975 Green March and all those who gave their lives and efforts to this country. Some have left us and their legacy remains eternal; others are still among us and carry the torch, so that this heritage is passed down from generation to generation, with fifty years of dedication and building, in an unbreakable bond between the Throne and the people.
Their motto: “God, the Homeland, the King.”
