Malikna Lhabib (ملكنا الحبيب, “Our Beloved King”) is a tribute song written and composed by Youssef Fahmi Idrissi for the birthday of King Mohammed VI, celebrated on 21 August. It quickly became a song of celebration: each year, many Moroccans use it in their Reels to wish His Majesty a happy birthday.
Sung in Moroccan Darija, the song carries a message of love and loyalty from the Moroccan people: wishes of long life and ease for the King, blessings for Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, and peace and safety for Morocco.
